Play Songs You Love

In over 15 years of teaching students of all ages and abilities I’ve found one thing to be true:
we learn best when playing music we love.

Everything I teach is applied to the songs you enjoy. It doesn’t matter if it’s Duke Ellington, Led Zeppelin, or Adele—the basic principles of music are the same. You’ll be introduced to new artists and genres, too, as we cover the history and geography of the instrument.

Learn Skills You Can Use

While learning songs, we’ll build a solid technical foundation along with style-specific concepts like Travis picking, blues bends, and sweep arpeggios. We’ll study theory to learn how music is organized and use that knowledge to sight-read, improvise, and write music. Finally, we’ll work on performing songs to connect with an audience, whether it’s festival crowds or a group of friends around a campfire.

Want to see what you can do with what you learn? Here’s a bit of music from current and former students.

Take Lessons That Fit

Learning an instrument is just one part of your busy life, so it should be as simple as possible. All lessons are one-on-one so they move at your pace. Weekly lessons are always the same day and time to make scheduling easier. And you can study online or in person so you can keep learning wherever you are.

Payment is easy too. Weekly lessons are the same price each month, so you don’t have to worry about prices changing. You can pay for lessons with cash, check, credit and debit cards in person or online. Read more about lesson pricing and payments.
